James Heywood
In his former role as the head of the matrimonial department of a Kent law firm, James worked on a wide variety of cases across the key family law disciplines.
An accomplished and versatile solicitor, James deals with divorce and civil partnership dissolutions, advises in relation to the negotiation of complex financial settlements, deals with enforcement issues, drafts pre and post-nuptial agreements, and consent orders. He also represents clients at hearings within Financial Remedy proceedings.
James also advises on upon cohabitation issues, drafts cohabitation agreements, or can advise on the financial and property issues following the breakdown of a relationship.
In addition, James also deals with private law children matters and advises clients in respect of all issues concerning children and the breakdown of arrangements. If court proceedings are issued James can represent clients at the various hearings throughout their matter.
